Santa Needs Volunteers!

SHOP WITH A COP is a one-day event where local police officers will partner with community volunteers to shop with deserving children from Somerset county communities.

Volunteers who register early will get a shnazzy Santa's Helper t-shirt. Feel free to dress up in your craziest holiday outfit! Can't make it the entire time? No problem -- we appreciate any time that you can offer.

INFO ABOUT EVENT:

The Somerset Community Action Program will work with the school districts to select 150-200 children that qualify. All youth participants must be between the ages of 7-14. Families will be required to complete an online application, confirm income eligibility, and sign our liability waiver. A maximum of $200 in gift cards will be provided per family (may be shared by more than 2 children). Applications must be submitted no later than Friday, December 1, 2023. 

Once accepted and confirmed, families will be instructed on when to show up at their designated time on the day of the event. Once checked-in, kiddos will be matched, one-by-one, with a police officer who will take them shopping.
